Job DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to supervise the Employee Relations Services (ERS) team in addition to facilitate and advise on employee relations and store wellness.
In this role you will:
Supervise and provide assistance to the employee relations team; select, coach, train, and develop direct reports, to include appraising job performance and conducting performance reviewsResolve complex employee relations issues including conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigationsMonitor and review background and MVR results and respond to concerns from the background check adjudication process; escalate when necessaryDraft responses for DOL, EEOC investigations and employment litigation threatsMaintain ERS team processes and proceduresOversee store wellness visits; track and report resultsDraft and maintain compliance calendar, team member handbooks and other compliance documents; update corporate policy documents and policy management systemAid in gathering of documentation as it pertains to annual compliance for federal contractor programModel behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelQualificationsBachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources management, employee relations or related field requiredProfessional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferredMinimum seven (7) years experience in human resources or employee relations preferredThorough understanding of all company policiesThorough understanding of federal and state laws concerning labor relationsIntermediate Microsoft Office skills, including creation of pivot tables and trend reportingAbility to lead, motivate, encourage and coach a teamStrong decision making, problem solving, and judgment skillsAbility to communicate and interact effectively with different levels of the organization to negotiate, problem solve, complete projects and influence decision makingAbility to remain objective, calm, tactful and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situationsAbility to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulation, ordinances and policiesDemonstrate integrity and ethical behavior including but not limited to confidentialityAdditional Information• Nation-wide Medical Plan/Dental/Vision
