Position summary
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of payroll services in the assigned Markets to ensure compliance with organization and legal requirements; manage vendor relationships; respond to the payroll operations queries. The BMS HR Service Delivery Model is a shared services model, and this role will interface with business partners, Compensation, Savings Plan & Benefits, Financial Shared Services General Accounting, as well as our outsourced payroll providers. The position is also responsible for the upload of payroll related data onto the required payroll vendor online tools, downloading of the payroll outputs, and distribution to the relevant individuals or teams within the BMS business.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all payroll operations are processed timely and accuratelyApproval and arranging the payments for assigned markets payrollsLeading audit (internal and external) inquiries/assisting with SOX testing for assigned marketsPartner with the payroll vendor, HR and Finance teams and liaison with other vendors to resolve queries.Implement processes improvements related to payroll deliveryProvide Tier 2 (detailed) support to inquiries related to payroll, ensuring responses are delivered in a timely manner. Where required follow up with vendors or escalate to Sr ManagerUse global payroll tools and prepare appropriate payroll calculations to ensure proper payroll processingBuild & maintain long-term relationships with customers & key stakeholdersCollaborate with internal and external stakeholdersCoordinate with Outsourced Service Provider regarding all policies, programs and processes related to payroll.Work with service provider to ensure they are achieving SLAs (regular check in with MS Team)Manage employee queries via SNOW, whilst adhering to KPI’s and delivering high quality customer serviceParticipate in the implementation of payroll system solutions for acquisitions.Proactively develop and maintain technical knowledge in payrolls remaining up to date on current trends and best practicesInterface with payroll and benefits vendors, as needed, to ensure compliance with established proceduresFull understanding of all payroll inputs and how they correlate to the pay slip and taxation of sameActs as a resource for colleagues with less experienceContribute to project testing and implementation as neededPrioritize and allocate payroll requirements based on tight deadlinesParticipate, when required, in any payroll tax reconciliationsRequired Qualifications & Experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Payroll, Payroll Tax, and Payroll Accounting and related end to end processes.Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, HRBPs and People Services team membersDegree preferred in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or equivalentMinimum of 3 years’ experience with end-to -end payroll processing including: time management, leave administration, registration, pay processing, payroll taxes, reporting, and experience dealing with payroll queries and issues from employeesMust be customer-focused and comfortable working with a diverse group of peopleAbility to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolutionMust be well organized with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding deadlines.Proficient with MS Office suite, particularly Excel.Strong SAP Payroll technical expertise including integration points withOrganizational Management and Personnel Administration and SAP Finance is preferred.Strong attention to detailPrevious experience working in a shared services environment preferredAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects and daily planned and unplanned operational activitiesThe successful candidate must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and work with minimal supervision experience using Workday Human Capital Management (HCM)Strong project management and leadership skills are very desirableIf you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
