About the Team The Digital team focuses on delivering a superior customer experience on petsmart.com and our mobile app. The team also guides revenue and profit growth for the digital business. Digital team associates focus on delivering initiatives that help our pet parents find and discover products, bring enterprise priorities to life digitally, design new user experiences, build new features and capabilities, and manage key omni-channel programs. We work to showcase our brand digitally through the lens of expertise and love and to provide a personalized experience for our consumers. The team takes a data-driven approach and leverages quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize the experience and make business decisions. This role is based at PetSmart’s Phoenix Home Office, where associates currently enjoy the benefits of in-person collaboration while having the flexibility to work remotely one day per week (a “flex workday” with leader approval), and an expected four days in the office. About the Job This individual will be a key driver in shaping the digital customer strategy across our Product Listing Pages (PLP) & Product Display Pages (PDP). They will partner closely with cross functional teams and key stakeholders to bring data, insights, and strategy together to inform the overall strategy and operational model. Success in this role looks like: In depth understanding of tools leveraged by business, connections and data points that drive the mid funnel shopping path. Being a trusted Subject Matter Expert (SME) on key tools to help inform, guide and determine feature opportunities. Establish operational guardrails and reporting to ensure continue improvement. Cultivating and expanding strategic vendor relationships to fuel future innovation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to: Lead the development and functionality of the digital customer strategy for the PLP & PDP. Partner closely with digital cross functional teams to define outcomes that align with the strategy and reaching our long-range plan Facilitate connection & remove barriers for internal stakeholders by leveraging customer insights, data and close collaboration with UX and Customer research. Primary Point of Contact and SME for existing tools used to drive shopability on PLP and PDP. Define and evolve reporting capabilities and KPIS to track effectiveness. Includes but not limited to Search, PDP Score Cards and “digital shelf” effectiveness Establish operational guardrails of operational excellence to unlock strategic opportunities for business users Collaborate leadership of Digital Strategy and Product team to help form prioritization and circling back to business user or customer impact Oversight to PDP Category Content strategy and information inputs to assist in customer ATC confidence Ownership of existing vendor relationship and developing those into strategic partnerships for growth engines/tools KEY COMPETENCIES Strong understanding of digital and omni businesses (in retail preferred) Excellent cross-functional collaborator using communication and organization skills Good communication (written and verbal) skills Strong understanding of digital analytics (Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics preferred) and consumer insights data Thorough understanding of all digital shopping journeys on a PLP or PDP High degree of internet savvy, with a curiosity and enthusiasm for digital trends Proven ability to understand and explain complex issues, but also clearly identify and communicate the situation at a high level Strong ability to use and understand financial and numerical data to make decisions and influence outcomes Ability to influence and align business, product, and technology leaders Exhibit professional initiative and entrepreneurial drive Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft office applications, including intermediate capabilities with Excel and Word EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Business, strategic consulting, product management, or equivalent work experience Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in OMNI or digital business.
