What this job involves:

As Design Manager for our Real Estate Management Services (REMS) team within JLL's Business Services organization, you'll lead a global team of talented designers who power sales pursuits and initiatives across Client Value & Growth, Public Institutions, and Property Management. This is fundamentally a people-focused leadership role where you'll build and nurture high-performing design teams in our Costa Rica and India locations, championing the professional growth of every team member. At JLL, we believe the most effective teams are built when everyone is empowered to thrive, and you'll embody this belief by creating an environment where designers develop their skills, explore new creative directions, and advance their careers. Working in close partnership with Sales Enablement and Sales leaders globally, you'll ensure our creative output meets the highest quality standards and reflects the creative vision of each pursuit. Your leadership extends beyond direct reports as you collaborate cross-functionally, manage resources and workflows for multiple teams, support hiring initiatives, and serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across our REMS Sales Enablement organizations. You'll help us improve how we work together, inform best practices, and strengthen team processes through continuous feedback and innovation. This role requires someone who excels at balancing operational excellence with people development and stakeholder management, and who can inspire teams to deliver exceptional design solutions that drive client success.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Champion a culture of collaboration and innovation by facilitating knowledge sharing, encouraging creative experimentation, and implementing feedback mechanisms to elevate team performance

Monitor team utilization, track project metrics, and report on team performance to senior leadership, using data-driven insights to optimize processes and demonstrate the value of design in achieving business outcomes

Lead recruitment efforts to attract top design talent, and create comprehensive onboarding experiences that set new team members up for long-term success within JLL

Identify skill gaps and development opportunities within the team, implementing training programs, workshops, and upskilling initiatives to keep designers current with industry trends and emerging technologies

Required qualifications:
