As a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you more specific details for this role. **Job Description:** **Department Overview** Privacy, as part of the Compliance Department within Risk Management, provides objective guidance and independent challenge to TD's businesses and corporate segments with respect to managing regulatory compliance risk for privacy related laws, rules and regulations. Our mandate is to promote a culture of privacy compliance through global policies and standards that: (i) align to regulatory requirements and TD's Enterprise Risk Framework; (ii) reinforce enterprise-wide privacy accountability; and (iii) are adaptable to regulatory change and the evolving needs of our business. **Job Description** This role reports to the Senior Manager, Data Privacy and supports various activities within Privacy, with an emphasis on strategic projects, data initiatives and program governance. Key accountabilities include: + As a trusted partner, support TD's data strategy and strategic data initiatives that deliver new tools, capabilities and platforms and the D&A users performing data usage activities (e.g., analytics, engineering, AI, etc.). + Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements relative to data and information management practices. + Foster relationships, and collaborate with enterprise partners with oversight components for data governance (e.g., COMO, EDMO, Enterprise Protect, Privacy Legal, etc.) + Support the development of role-based privacy training (e.g., Privacy Designate training) as needed. + Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and be an ambassador for TD's privacy program across the organization. + Contribute to, and support, the execution of the Privacy Compliance strategy and programs. + Provide objective guidance, support, and advice to promote strong privacy controls and processes. + Participate fully as a member of the global privacy team through collaboration, sharing of privacy knowledge and expertise and identify ways to innovate our processes. + Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Privacy governance documentation (e.g., policies, standards, guidelines, and processes). + Lead/support special projects, as required. **Other Qualifications/Skills/ Experience:** + Keen interest in advancing knowledge around data governance + Awareness of data platforms (e.g., Azure cloud), AI and other machine learning technologies. + Ability to understand and interpret complex laws and regulations (knowledge of relevant Canadian and international privacy legislation would be considered an asset). + Demonstrate strong: + ability to work independently, think critically and make decisions; + collaboration with a variety of stakeholders to influence, build consensus and effect creative and responsive solutions; + attention to detail; and + organizational and business awareness. + Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced/evolving environment. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to interact at all levels of the organization and tailor communications to the intended audience. + Experience developing governance documentation (i.e., policies, frameworks, processes, guidelines), reporting, and presentations. + Experience managing enterprise initiatives/projects. + Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint **Education and Accreditation** + Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) + 3+ years relevant experience in a Legal, Compliance and/or Risk Management function + Previous privacy experience, including a designation with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), would be considered an asset. **Who We Are:** TD is one of the world's leading global financial institutions and is the fifth largest bank in North America by branches/stores.
