Job Description
AbbVie is looking for a Copy Content Manager with 10+ years' experience in pharmaceutical advertising to join A3—AbbVie's in-house advertising agency. This position provides strategic direction and advice, writing, editing, and content for both print and digital communication channels, including work on product and indication launches, sales collateral, convention exhibits, videos, web/multimedia and internal communication programs. A critical member of the creative team, the Copy Content Manager also plays a leadership role on the larger brand team and is the subject matter expert for their brands. Must have a demonstrated record of taking complex medical information and distilling it into compelling promotional copy for both print and digital executions.
As a Copy Content Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to work outside of a traditional agency structure on high-priority digital initiatives following Agile methodology. The Copy Content Manager is a key part of the content engine driving our digital brand teams. They are responsible for content creation and iteration for user-centric, omni-channel marketing materials for major pharmaceutical brands.
Reports to a Manager/Ad Copy-Pharma/Consumer.
Responsibilities:
Writing of pharma and medical materials across multiple print and digital channels.Development of brand messaging and product claims, including associated clinical data charts; creates copy and content that is both compelling and medically accurate.Data mining and claims research, supplying supporting information from clinical sources and publications.Understanding of core claims and medical references of assigned brands; executes materials that are aligned with brand standards and cross-functional review processes (Medical, Regulatory, Legal).Implements and expands marketing strategy by creating content that engages the target audience, improves the quality of communication, and facilitates breakthroughs in innovation and differentiation.Creates copy and content for a range of omni-channel initiatives, including social media ads, email, web banner ads, websites, and apps.Incorporates stakeholder feedback quickly and uses market analysis, patient feedback, data analytics, and usability findings to tailor copy to best meet customers’ needs.Manages the delivery of compelling communications in a fast-paced environment to ensure projects are submitted accurately, on-time, and in compliance with pharmaceutical advertising standards, AMA style guidelines, and industry best practices.Active client-facing involvement, including creative presentations, participation in workshops, and client meetings.Qualifications
B.A./B.S. in a medical-related field (Biology or Chemistry), or a B.A./B.S. in Business, Communications or Advertising; or equivalent business experience within the pharmaceutical or related industry.Must have 10+ years pharmaceutical writing experience developing HCP-facing materialsProven skills and experience in developing advertising and promotional ideas, concepts, and campaigns.Strong background in digital communications, including social media ads, email, CRM campaigns, and banner ads.Working knowledge of FDA advertising and promotion regulations and AMA style guidelines.Experience in researching, understanding, and interpreting medical and scientific literature and concepts – and translating this information into successful communications aimed at HCP and patient target audiences.Advanced written, verbal, and presentation skills; project management skills; and organizational skills.Independent and self-sufficient working style. Have a high degree of initiative to drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment; and an ability to absorb and respond to constructive feedback and turn projects around quickly when off course.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
