To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com (https://www.cibc.com/en/about-cibc.html) **What you’ll be doing** The Compliance and EAML Examinations Program (CEEP) is a global examinations team, that carries out Regulatory Compliance and Money-Laundering (ML)/Terrorist Financing (TF) Examinations of LOBs and functional groups. The role operates under the Global Methodology Programs and Strategy (GMPS) Team. GMPS is responsible for supporting the EAML and Compliance Examination teams through the development, implementation and maintenance of the examination program, tools/templates, annual examination planning, training and management reporting. In addition, the GMPS team manages and executes the Quality Assurance (QA) program to assess the effectiveness and quality of examinations. As a Manager, Quality Assurance, you will play a key role in evaluating, and enhancing the CEEP examination program through systematic quality assurance audits. This role ensures that CEEP examinations adhere to internal methodologies, policies and procedures, while also aligning with industry best practices and applicable regulatory requirements. This role will help drive continuous improvement and uphold quality in the execution and delivery of CEEP’s Compliance and EAML examination practices. This position supports the alignment of quality assurance methodology with industry standards. Success in this role requires the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships and effectively influence the broader CEEP examination teams and key stakeholders. The Manager will also serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to CEEP Senior Leadership Team, providing insights on the effectiveness and methodology alignment of examination practices. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote._ **How you’ll succeed** + **Methodology Subject Matter Expert -** Maintain a full understanding of all compliance examination and QA methodologies; including but not limited to IIA standards, guidance and publications. + **Maintain Integrity and Objectivity -** Uphold ethical standards and excellence in all QA processes. Make decision based on facts and evidence. + **Communicate Clearly and Factually -** Write thorough QA reports that presents findings in a constructive manner that leads to action not defensiveness. + **Forward Looking and Continuous Improvement -** Stay up to date with examination practices in the industry, trends, and impactful events. Proactively make changes to the QA methodology to ensure continuous alignment with industry best practices; this includes annual methodology benchmarking and assessment. + **Relationship Management and Collaboration -** Build ongoing partnerships with key partners, including various CEEP teams towards a common goal and negotiate QA results, as required. + **Change Management -** Working closely with cross-functional teams (to determine necessary changes in change management standards, processes, documentation and implementation related requirements. Partner with the training delivery team to support the delivery of QA methodology changes as required. + **Consultation -** Provide consultation advice to staff pertaining to the interpretation and application of our examination methodology and the application professional standards (including consulting with and advising examination teams on unique or complex scenarios). **Who you are** + **Minimum 5+ years of experience in financial services and/or consulting supporting quality assurance programs** in compliance or audit functions. + **You are a professional** , holding a Bachelor’s degree with applicable industry certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CFA, FRM or equivalent considered an asset). + **Demonstrated ability to manage** and navigate various competing priorities and streams of work, with attention to detail and understanding of urgency and resolutions. + **Forward-looking and visionary thinker,** with strong critical thinking skills to inform decision-making. + **Strong expertise in AML methodology** and industry best practices to guide innovative ideas and insights. + **Detail-oriented** , with critical thinking skills that inform decision-making. + **Take initiative and deliver results** , acting with ownership. + **Excellent communication skills** .
