The Manager develops and maintains strategic community connections that align with the goals and priorities of Mayo Clinic, specifically focusing on efforts in Rochester, Minn., and Olmsted County. Working with department leaders, the Manager establishes data-driven goals and benchmarks for community engagement efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. The Manager is experienced in data analysis and using data to inform recommendations. The Manager will design and apply metrics to evaluate the effectiveness, reach, and outcomes of community relations initiatives. This includes collecting, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., participation, sentiment, feedback, community impact indicators) to inform strategy and decision-making. The Manager will work with colleagues to develop dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate results and insights to leadership and key stakeholders. The Manager is also knowledgeable in storytelling and digital and social campaigns, able to make connections to and recommendations for Mayo Clinic’s owned and earned content strategies. The Manager is a trusted adviser to executive leaders, and maintains a high profile in the community, broadly recognized as a representative of Mayo Clinic in Rochester. The Manager is responsible for developing and expanding strategic community partnerships and building strong relationships with key community influencers, including local government officials and civic leaders. The Manager will identify and manage opportunities for Mayo Clinic engagement and influence. The Manager partners with internal teams (legal, compliance, communications, operations, and leadership) to manage complex or high-risk community issues. The Manager represents Community Relations among internal and external audiences, may serve on internal and external committees, and takes on other duties as assigned. The Manager supports Community Relations’ administrative functions, which may include monitoring budgets and supervising staff. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program. **This individual must be able to work in-person in Rochester, MN, on a daily basis with the ability to commute between community locations in and around Rochester regularly.** **Qualifications** Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field plus 5 years of relevant work experience. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate in a way that creates clarity, simplifies messages, and aligns with organizational strategy. Knowledge of channels for communication and the ability to build effective communication and engagement strategies. Must be a self-starter with the ability to independently identify opportunities, solutions and resolve challenges. Demonstrated ability to deliver impactful results. Superior project management experience, knowledge and skills must be demonstrated. Incumbent must have the ability to independently manage a varied workload of projects with multiple priorities. Demonstrates interest in continuous learning and professional development, in addition to functional area expertise.
