ROLE SUMMARY

Background: Colleague Productivity Products is a core area of Pfizer Digital, empowering colleagues with tools for finding and curating knowledge, collaborating on files and documents, meeting together virtually and in person, and communicating corporate messaging throughout the enterprise.

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager, Solution Engineer, that will help implement the technical roadmap and strategy around these critical tools.  This role is responsible for working with our product managers to technically implement the strategic roadmaps for these products.  The engineer will be the technical experts for M365 product categories and work with our training teams to empower Pfizer to use them effectively.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Roadmap Implementation
Be the technical owner/engineer of multiple product roadmaps. Must be able to:

Technically implement quarterly/annual product roadmaps aligned to business objectives, customer needs, and budget constraints.Balance capacity across teams and vendors; proactively manage cross product dependencies and risks.Socialize roadmap decisions and trade‑offs with leadership and stakeholders, keeping plans current as data and priorities evolve.Lead the technical implementation of quarterly and annual M365 product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, user requirements, and budgetary constraints. Oversee deployment, configuration, and integration of core M365 services—including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Intranet products—across the enterprise.Manage and optimize technical resource allocation across internal teams and external vendors for M365 initiatives. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate cross-product integration risks and dependencies within the M365 ecosystem, ensuring seamless interoperability and robust platform performance.

Outcomes & KPI Ownership (Technical Engineering Focus)

Design, configure, and deploy technical solutions in accordance with the quarterly and annual product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives, user requirements, and budget constraints.Optimize engineering resources across internal teams and external partners; proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical dependencies and integration risks between systems.Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to leadership and stakeholders, updating implementation plans as requirements and system data evolve.

Backlog Management & Delivery Readiness (M365 Engineering Focus)

Lead the technical implementation and ongoing refinement of quarterly and annual M365 product roadmaps—ensuring alignment with organizational goals, user requirements, and budgetary guidelines. Oversee deployment, configuration, and integration of M365 services such as SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Intranet  & Communication platforms across the enterprise.Manage and optimize engineering resource allocation across internal teams and external vendors for M365 initiatives. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical dependencies and integration risks within the M365 ecosystem to ensure seamless interoperability and robust platform performance.Communicate M365 engineering decisions, trade-offs, and roadmap changes to leadership and stakeholders, continuously updating plans as platform data and business priorities evolve.

Ecosystem & Integration Mindset
Ensure products fit together coherently and responsibly. Must be able to:

Apply platform as product thinking; reuse standards, patterns, and shared services to speed delivery and reduce risk.Coordinate with architecture, security, data, and support teams to keep integrations and SLAs robust.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

 Education:Bachelor's degree in Technology or a related field w/ at least 4 years of applicable experienceExperience:Proven experience in software development, large-scale applications, Generative AI, or a related field.Experience in consumer digital products and associated technical project management roles is highly desirable.Analytical Skills:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.Communication Skills:Strong communication and presentation skills.Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.Technical Skills:Generative AI skill and experience using Generative AI.Understand product roadmaps, backlogs and tools to facilitateCollaboration:Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Experience in managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.Experience leading cross-functional teams.Industry Knowledge:Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Generative AI.Understand the product space assigned.
