Job SummaryResponsible for managing a CS Banking Operations unit taking care of document processing, investor services, loan processing, opening new business and maintaining and reviewing documentation on existing account. Conducts the performance management process, identifies training and development needs, and establishes performance standards for the division / unit / function.

Major Duties :

Identifies and solves technical and operational problems; understands and recognizes broader impact across the department.Leads multiple project initiatives assigned to the group.  Guided by policies and departmental plan, impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives.Participates in division management meetings and decision-making processes related to business strategy and execution required for success. Allocates the client portfolio based on client needs, client, complexity and available resources.Develops goals for the team and individual partners, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities, and ensures timely and accurate completion of work.Identifies process improvement opportunities and manages resulting change.Coordinates with Treasury Management Practice Executive, TM Consulting Manager, and staff to understand client expectations and the specific levels of support needed.Works with counterpart managers including Client Services, Account Implementation and Operations to establish and measure standards of performance required to meet business objectives and client expectations.Evaluates actual performance against expectations to identify areas for continuous improvement.Advocates for the group to ensure all necessary resources are provided to accomplish priorities.Develops staff, including coaching, conducting the performance management process, and providing input for staff training and development needs.Supports risk management objectives by managing RCSA, SOX Certification exercise, audit and other risk related activities for the business.Manages business support and administrative activities through oversight of relevant functions including:Treasury Management relationship review preparationPast due fees within group guidelines.Accuracy of requests for services and pricing / fees accuracy.Oversight for accuracy of information maintained on various systems for treasury management clients.Coordinate resolution of specific implementation or client service issues that are escalated to the consulting group.

Represent Treasury Consulting on the Client Services / Account Implementation working group by:

Attending regular meetings and providing input to agendas based on business priorities and current issuesPeriodically review Client Service and Account Implementation reports in conjunction with CSD and AIU leadership to identify trends or patterns in implementation, operations or service issues.Work with internal partners as needed to resolve chronic operational or service issues identifying process improvement opportunities where possible.Monitor progress of issue resolution, reporting progress to stakeholders periodically through to final resolution.

Knowledge:

Applies understanding of the business and how own area integrates with others to achieve departmental objectivesGuides and influences others either internally or externally to adopt a different point of viewKnowledge of banking and treasury management products and services, acquired through work experience, to effectively manage account managers and disseminate technical information to the groups as appropriate.Leadership and organizational skills are required to develop periodic goals and to manage and motivate team members towards the goal set.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Experience :Previous experience managing one or more teams and adapting department plans and priorities to meet short-term service and/or operational objectives. Experience in change management or project management. Experience serving in a role that included direct client support/interaction.

Salary Range:

$123,400 - 216,000 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
