The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. **Salary Range** $106,300.00 - $175,400.00 **Target Openings** 1 **What Is the Opportunity?** Travelers Bond & Specialty Insurance (B&SI) is looking for a skilled actuarial practitioner to join our reserving team. (Actuarial credentials not required for candidates with relevant experience.) This position will be responsible for the reserving analysis and related support for the Financial Institutions business unit, serving banks, asset managers and insurance companies. It will provide a great opportunity to learn Management and Professional Liability insurance including lines of business such as Cyber, Employment Practices Liability, and Directors and Officers Liability. In this role, you will strengthen your analytical skills, deliver well-reasoned reserving recommendations, and provide insights that influence key decisions. You will be working with the Pricing, Product, Underwriting, and Claims teams to both learn the business and communicate your findings and recommendations. Effective communication will be required as you build partnerships with senior management and other business partners throughout B&SI. As the B&SI reserving team embraces innovative methods, such as advanced claim level models, you’ll play a key role in shaping these new approaches. This will be a unique opportunity to get involved while these new approaches gain momentum, directly influence how this transition happens, and help define the role of tomorrow’s reserving actuary. **What Will You Do?** + Perform quarterly analysis of loss reserves for all lines and customer segments in the Financial Institutions business unit. + Work with the Claims department to ensure best estimates are appropriately reserved for key claims. + Work with our modeling/analytics team to develop, evaluate, and utilize advanced loss analytic tools such as claim level reserve models. + Provide support to the Actuarial Pricing and Product Management teams for their pricing reviews. + Research, monitor, and develop recommendations to address emerging issues impacting our rapidly evolving products. + Present results, recommendations, and implications to Product Management, Business Unit leads, and other senior management. + Utilize programming and database knowledge to develop/maintain tools. + Actively identify and help implement process improvements. **What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?** + **College degree in STEM related field.** + **Associate Actuarial Credential preferred.** + **Strong PC skills (MS Office) and programming skills (eg.
