Requirements Responsible for managing or performing work in general financial accounting activities of the organization, including: • Financial transaction recording standards • Control/reconciliation of accounts and records • Cost accounting/budgeting • Accounting reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and for external audiences (compliance reporting) • May include administrative/transactional accounting support work, such as ledger maintenance and data entry

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the oversight of several functional areas such as: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Financial Reporting. The position interacts with various departments throughout the company to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results, general ledger activity and resolve payable and receivables issues.

Responsibilities

Supervises and directs the month end close process, consolidation of global results, and month end reporting to Sysco Corporation in a timely manner Responsible for the recruiting, training, and performance management and development of finance associatesCompletes monthly close duties and schedules in a timely mannerInteract with Accountants, and finance leads in terms of monthly close activities, including journal entries, monthly schedules, and reconciliation workMake recommendations to management to improve profitability

Lead contact with Auditors

Recognized leader on researching technical / complex accounting issues and implementing new standards

Enhance financial reporting efficiency while partnering with finance and operation stakeholders

Lead SOX compliance and evaluation of internal controls

Identify opportunities to control costs and reduce expenses

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting

Experience
7 years of accounting experience required, preferably with 2+ year leading others

Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to analyze data and draw logical conclusions and recommendations from the dataAdvanced computer skills with emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent leader, developer of finance team
