Job Description

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the overall financial integrity of the GBS Manila Site’s books and records. This role will oversee core controllership activities including journal entry and reconciliation review, financial reporting, audit coordination, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax and Board of Investment-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and approve journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal accounting policies and standardsReview and validate balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring completeness and timely resolution of reconciling itemsPrepare and review annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP/PFRS and complete submissions as required by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)Ensure completeness, accuracy and integrity of the GBS Manila Site’s financial recordsManage and complete the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesCoordinate and support external financial audits, including preparation of audit schedules and required documentationCoordinate internal audits and implement agreed-upon recommendations and corrective actionsHandle tax audits and assessments, liaising with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax filings and statutory reportsLiaise with the Board of investments (BOI) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and incentive programsPrepare and submit BOI-related documentation, including compliance reports and renewal applicationsMaintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with corporation accounting policies and local regulationsFind opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency in financial processesEnsure integrity of data in ERP and related financial systemsPresent financial reports, analysis, and ad-hoc support for management and global partners as requested
