Job Description
Purpose:
The Manager Accounts Receivable will manage the inbound collection teams’ performance on collection and customer contact activities for multiple customer accounts. Support relationships and engage in effective communication with our internal and external customers. Set and achieve collection and inbound goals. Provide performance reporting to management and identify areas of concern, with suggestions for improvement on a timely basis. Continuous leadership and involvement on departmental projects, cross functional teams and business projects which may include Sarbanes-Oxley, Payment Card Industry and Audit.
Responsibilities:
•Manage and motivate team of 10-12 inbound collectors to achieve goals. Monitor and maintain best in class metrics for service level, abandonment rate and quality. Facilitate timely and appropriate resolution of emerging issues through the involvement of internal stakeholders (Credit & Collection teams, Sales, Finance, Legal, etc.) as required. Review and implement action plans based on teams' analysis and identify related impacted areas.
•Act as facilitator to help drive implementation of process improvements both inside and outside the department. Collaborate with stakeholders and build relationships with sales, customer operations and customers. Resolve complex issues with business implications with limited upper management review.
•Identify, initiate, lead and/or participate in departmental and cross-functional teams/projects involving multiple functions, analyze results, prepare and present recommendations to management. Provide clear leadership and guidance for the team in any ad hoc projects as they may arise, ensuring the business needs are met, with minimum disruption to the day-to-day duties and performance of the department.
•Present and report monthly performance against targets with supporting analysis and explanations and raise any issues or problems that need to be discussed. Failure to achieve results may result in adverse impact on customer relationships, loss of cash flow to AbbVie, or audit issues.
•Manage team independently with regular input from and updates to the Manager. Coach and mentor team and assure developmental needs are addressed. Within team, oversees team activities, prioritizes workload, seeks other resources when needed and provides guidance in non-routine receivable issues.
• Thorough conceptual understanding of systems, processes and policy, and procedures. Maintain system information while ensuring account data integrity and customer/client satisfaction. Ensure team adheres to company policies and procedures. Ensure staff understands and complies with OEC and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Recommend and implement enhancements to department policies and procedures.

Education and Experience
4-year undergraduate degree, or equivalent experience5 years related work experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry5 years related work experience leading teams and managing team membersStrong computer skills including spreadsheets, modeling, and financial systems, including SAPProven experience in process improvementKey Leadership Competencies:

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
