Purpose of the job

To support Heineken Beverages Group’s financial performance by producing accurate, insightful, and timely financial and management reports, especially for shareholders. This role ensures integrity across reporting platforms, contributes to statutory and shareholder reporting processes, and provides meaningful analysis to senior leadership. It plays a key part in data/system governance, cross-departmental collaboration, control, cadence, and process improvement, helping to build trust in the finance function across the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

Management and Financial Reporting

Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial results Deliver consistent, high-quality financial and management reporting across: South Africa International Combined/Consolidated South Africa & International NBL Combined/Consolidated Heineken Beverages Group Responsible for all investor relations, reporting coordination and governance Proactive engagement and understanding of stakeholder requirements Incorporation and integration of reporting schedules and cadences (internal and external) Overview, control and governance of various reporting outputs to ensure alignment and resolution to variances Creation and automation of reporting templates, decks to support requirements Consolidation of results and explanations to provide relevant detailed insights in a concise format Integrate changes, new requests and deal with ad hoc support Coordinate and compile responses to shareholder queries Ensure consistency of key messages across management, board and shareholder reporting Maintain and reconcile key reporting outputs and ensure alignment with: SAP / BIP / BPC / CIL / Power BI reports Other relevant internal platforms Reconcile results between different reporting systems / outputs and ensure completeness and consistency Support CIL reporting and provide control oversight where required

Month-End and Reporting Cadence

Proactive planning and stakeholder communication Proactive follow up, obtaining and storing information Consistent and punctual delivery of all outputs (in full, on time, to the required quality) Suggesting and implementing improvements to reporting workbooks and platforms Maintain high levels of urgency and attention to detail throughout the reporting cycle Support FP&A and other cross functional departments during peak periods

 

 

Key Reporting Deliverables

Responsible for compiling and/or contributing to:

Flash reporting Business Performance Reviews (BPR) Heineken Beverages Board and SA Board reports Internal Management Team (MT) and Leadership Forum, reporting at varying levels Investor relations and reporting Ad hoc reporting as requested by stakeholders

Analysis and Insight Generation

Conduct analytical reviews of performance, identifying root causes and opportunities Collaborate across departments to gather inputs and align on key messages and explanations for performance Recommend and follow through on changes based on insights gathered Support ad hoc investigations and special projects

Systems, Controls and Automation

Support system control checks and validation processes Assist in the development and enhancement of automated governance and control processes Participate in the design and testing of new reports and reporting dashboards Identify improvement areas and drive automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency

Statutory Reporting Support

Ensure deadlines for interim and year-end statutory reporting are met Assist with ad hoc statutory requests, including: IFRS-based queries Headline earnings and EBITDA calculations Reconciliations between statutory and management reporting Maintain accuracy and consistency between statutory and other reporting platforms

Collaboration and Customer Service

Build and maintain constructive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Provide excellent customer service in responding to queries and information requests Contribute to a collaborative, solutions-driven team culture

Continuous Improvement

Support ongoing development of reporting processes, templates, and governance Drive quality and efficiency through improvements and standardisation Use time post-deliverables efficiently to work on reporting enhancements or analytical tools

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements Education Qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA) or CIMA Experience and Attributes

Experience

Minimum 2–3 years post-articles experience in a financial reporting or analytics role Strong experience with Microsoft Excel is essential Knowledge of SAP, SAP BW/BI, SAP BPC, and Analysis for Office is highly advantageous Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Experience working in cross-functional teams and/or multinational organisations Experience in investor relations management, reporting and coordination
