Job Summary

We are hiring for Per Diem Mammography Technologist at our Limerick Outpatient Center:

Per Diem: Minimum 48 hours in a 6-week schedule; no holiday or on call coverage required. 

The Mammography Technologist:

administers ionizing radiation when performing screening and/or diagnostic mammograms according to established protocols. demonstrates an understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology as they relate to the procedure. Maintains a high degree of accuracy in breast positioning, exposure techniques, and subsequent evaluation of imaging parameters to optimize patient imaging and care while adhering to radiation protection and safety standards. integrates technical skills, patient interaction, and care to obtain viable diagnostic information as ordered by the physician.  utilizes independent professional judgment and critical thinking to obtain the resultant diagnostic information when possible and seeks direction from a MQSA qualified interpreting physician or lawful institutional policies (or standards of care) to continue or discontinue the exam.remains sensitive to the physical, cultural and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner.
