Training Opportunity: X-ray Technologists welcome — willing to train in Mammography
Logan Health is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Mammography Technologist to join our Radiology team in Kalispell. This PRN position offers the potential to transition into a full-time role and provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact through the early detection and prevention of breast cancer.
X-ray Technologists with an interest in mammography are encouraged to apply—training will be provided.
QualificationsRequiredGraduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Current ARRT certification
Valid Montana State Radiologic Technologist license
BLS certification
Preferred / Required Within Hire PeriodMammography certification preferred or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire
Minimum one (1) year experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred
Breast Sonography Qualifications (as applicable to role)ARDMS certification required
One (1) year experience preferred in one or more of the following:
Quality control
Breast sonography
Stereotactic biopsies
Skills & AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Self-motivated with strong critical thinking and prioritization abilities
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team
Job ResponsibilitiesProperly identify and prepare patients for mammography exams, clearly explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort
Obtain and accurately document relevant patient history and exam-related information
Perform mammography imaging and process images for radiologist interpretation
Complete all required documentation in accordance with departmental protocols
Ensure patients understand exam results and available options as communicated by the Radiologist
Perform daily start-up, end-of-day, and next-day preparation duties per department procedures
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including stocking and inventory control
Assist with quality assurance activities and preparation for ACR and FDA accreditation
Participate in continuing education and ongoing professional development related to mammography

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs.
