Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Mammography Technologist, you will be vital in early breast cancer detection, performing high-quality mammographic imaging with precision and compassion.

Every day, you will expertly operate equipment, meticulously position patients, ensure comfort, perform quality control, and maintain accurate records. You'll collaborate with radiologists and adhere to safety and regulatory standards for comprehensive breast health.

To be successful in this role, you will possess current mammography certification, exceptional technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a compassionate demeanor, ensuring accurate diagnostics and positive patient experiences.

The technologist is primarily responsible for performing mammography studies. Assist physicians with interventional imaging procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable. Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality obtaining additional images as needed. Communicates effectively with patients and their families about the procedure to be performed in order to obtain information and to offer reassurance. Perform the quality control functions related to mammography.

Required:

Completion of Accredited Radiology program (Associates Degree)(2) Two years of imaging experienceARRT(R) and ARRT(M)MRT - TXBLS-CPR Where You'll Work
