Responsibilities
Capable of obtaining quality mammograms and radiographs using proper exposure, markers, and shielding, and knows how to use portable x-ray machines and c-arms.Instructs and educates patient regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedureAble to perform all Mammography exams including localizations/stereotactic biopsies, print images, and perform CAD on digital images.Able to use CR reader, erase CR cassettes, send images from CR reader, and perform image manipulation as necessary.Able to access PACS, review studies, and perform basic functions for image manipulations.  Resolve QA issues, close studies as reviewed, burn CD’s, transfer images, and print from PACS.Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate formsMaintains order, stock, and cleanliness of all areas in the departmentPractices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience 

Graduate of an accredited college or technical school for Radiologic Technology. Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

Required Licensure and Certifications

Registered Technologist Mammography, RTM.American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card, BLS-CPR.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
