Job Description

This role involves setting up and performing changeovers on precision grinders, focusing on both outer and inner diameter grinding of necessary parts. The position requires holding high tolerances of +/- .001 due to the demands of the aerospace industry. There is potential for utilizing manual mills/lathes or CNC mills/lathes, as well as grinding and smoothing metal parts to remove defects, sharp edges, and excess material. Experience with Studer grinders is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Set up and perform changeovers on precision grinders.Execute outer diameter and inner diameter grinding of parts.Maintain high tolerance levels of +/- .001 for aerospace components.Utilize manual mills/lathes or CNC mills/lathes when necessary.Grind and smooth metal parts to eliminate defects, sharp edges, and excess material.

Essential Skills

Experience running a CNC or manual grinder.Proficient in outer diameter and inner diameter grinding.Familiarity with manual mills and lathes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.Skills in machine operation, surface grinding, and CNC machining.Proficiency with micrometers and other precision measuring tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
