Summary This position is located at USAG Bavaria, FMWR, Army Lodging Tower Barracks (Grafenwoehr)/Germany . Priority will be given to those that attend the job fair on 8 Oct 2025 from 0930 and 1330. Responsibilities Carpentry: Measures, cuts, constructs and/or repairs wood, composite building materials, and wood substitute items where specific fit and accuracy are required within allowable limits to produce a serviceable product. Electrical/Plumbing: As needed, replaces worn or broken wall switches and outlets. Replaces ceiling light and/or burned out bulbs. Repairs faucets, resets toilets, and lavatories. Painting: Prepare surfaces and applies paints, varnishes, and shellacs to newly installed lumber and existing building materials Laborer: Loads and unloads heavy boxes, bulky supplies, and materials to and from trucks, dollies, etc.; moves heavy boxes/cartons by hand or dolly; opens crates and boxes using crowbar, cuts bands using shears; stacks boxes and cartons as directed. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner. Education Additional Information Area of Consideration This job is open to candidates who are residing in the local commuting area of Grafenwoehr. The surrounding/commuting area is within approximately 100 miles and includes the communities of Hohenfels, Ansbach, and Vilseck (Military Spouse Preference (MSP), Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) and Family Member Preference eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration). Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week - whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
