No relocation assistance is offered for this position. **Core Responsibilities** In this temporary role as Maintenance & Technology Specialist, you will ensure that all our equipment – from machines and trolleys to fixtures – runs smoothly and reliably. It is your responsibility to prevent breakdowns, maximize uptime, and make sure everything is ready for production. By keeping our operations stable, you help the entire LEGO® factory deliver on time and minimize unexpected downtime. Furthermore, you will be responsible for new technologies in the Insert Factory ensuring that they uphold the needed requirements are aligned with approved processes and fully tested before integration. More specifically, you will: + Ensure all machines, fixtures, trolleys, and tools are maintained according to the preventive maintenance plan and are fully documented in line with ISO 9001 standards. + Lead the daily operation and ongoing improvement of our digital maintenance system (MAINTAIN It), making sure all tasks are tracked, updated, and completed on time. + Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance activities in close collaboration with production leaders – securing the right resources while minimizing the impact on production. + Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders on equipment-related matters, ensuring timely responses, coordination, and communication. + Manage external maintenance service providers through a structured service schedule, while remaining prepared to respond swiftly to urgent breakdowns. + Participate in the Insert Factory Acceptance Team to ensure maintenance readiness for new equipment and technologies before approval, aligned with S-Q-D-C-P standards. + Monitor equipment uptime consistently and take ownership of initiatives that improve equipment reliability and overall performance. + Drive the use of LEAN and visual management principles to make maintenance tasks, standards, and equipment status clear and accessible to shop floor teams. **Play your part in our team succeeding** The Insert Factory produces single-piece mould components used in the manufacturing of LEGO® elements. We operate a flexible setup with a wide variety of part types, which makes reliable equipment and stable processes absolutely essential. The team is located in Billund, Denmark, and consists of 11 skilled and dedicated colleagues with diverse age groups, educational backgrounds, experiences levels, etc. **Do you have what it takes?** The ideal candidate comes with a strong technical background as a Marine Engineer, Toolmaker, Mechanical Engineer or similar combined with hands-on experience in maintenance and equipment management in a production environment. It is essential for you to plan and follow through – you do not just fix things quickly; you fix them properly. You are focused on addressing root causes rather than applying quick fixes. You are structured, take ownership, have an outgoing people-oriented approach and make things happen as promised. To sum up, you bring: + Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance and a strong focus on equipment reliability within a production or manufacturing environment. + Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance tasks in close collaboration with production leaders. + Good understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles. + Confidence in being the go-to person for maintenance matters – both internally and when dealing with external service providers. + A problem-solving mindset, with a focus on identifying and addressing root causes rather than applying temporary fixes. + Familiarity with LEAN principles and visual management tools. + Great communication and stakeholder management skills - fluency in both Danish and English is required. + Willingness to work on-site in Billund, Denmark. Furthermore, it would be an advantage, if you have: + Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and documentation requirements related to equipment and maintenance. + Experience working with digital tools, data and performance metrics to guide decisions and improvements.
