Job Description:
⦁ Our Client is looking for an Automation Technician with a minimum of 4-6 years experience with automation or robotics.
⦁ This position will be responsible to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot automated machines experiencing downtime, document maintenance, and create maintenance documents.
⦁ The desired candidate will have experience with automated components, both mechanical and electrical practices.
⦁ Typical automation components include pneumatics, motorized conveyors, barcode scanners, sensors, and similar components.
⦁ Daily tasks include accessing computer-based controls via HMI.
⦁ The candidate must be a great communicator and problem solver and be able to work in a team atmosphere to accomplish the goal.
⦁ Ability to use SolidWorks CAD software is desired.
⦁ This position will require the use of hand tools and will involve building and testing the designs.
⦁ Minimal travel will be required to install and deploy designs.
⦁ This position is considered to be a physically demanding job and requires the ability to climb ladders, work in and around machinery during installation, and pick up and move objects 60 lbs and less.
⦁ The candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
⦁ A degree is not required, relevant experience is acceptable.
⦁ Patrols would be internal to the manufacturing facility, patrolling the operations and looking for abnormalities to resolve to prevent downtime.
⦁ Not security patrols.
