Maintenance Technician (Mechanical)
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Join our team as a Maintenance Technician and play a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency of a dynamic food manufacturing facility. This hands-on position involves working directly with equipment on a daily basis, ensuring smooth operations through essential maintenance activities and preventative programs. **Responsibilities** + Perform essential maintenance activities and preventative programs for a food manufacturing facility. + Collaborate effectively with all associates through communication and support. + Coordinate with internal team and external vendors for parts and services when necessary. + Diagnose and repair high voltage and low voltage electrical systems. + Conduct maintenance and repairs related to facility improvement. + Carry out preventive maintenance tasks. + Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions. + Fabricate minor parts as needed. + Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols. + Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. + Update and adhere to the facility's preventive maintenance schedule. + Be on your feet regularly and able to lift up to 50 lbs. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting, maintenance technician, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, repair, preventive maintenance, schematic, blueprint interpretation. + Minimum of 2+ years of mechanical manufacturing maintenance experience. + 2+ years working on hydraulic, pneumatic, and light electrical equipment. + Proficient in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting motors, gears, pumps, generators, and chillers. + Ability to support general building maintenance responsibilities, such as maintaining lighting and repairing doors and appliances. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in a maintenance technician/mechanic role within the food manufacturing industry is preferred. + Demonstrated experience with chiller, steam generator, pumps, motors, and packaging equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. + Proven technical expertise. + Experience in project management and leadership roles. + Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints. + Proficient in using maintenance tools and equipment. + Excellent problem-solving skills. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. **Why Work Here?** Be part of a thriving company that has consistently doubled its revenue every year since 2018. Join a team of four Maintenance Technicians on-site, contributing to the company's expanding operations. The role operates on the 1st shift, working four 10-hour days (Monday to Thursday), with frequent work on Fridays. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Marcos, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
