Maintenance Technician (Journeyman)
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Journeyman)** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a 2nd or 3rd shift position in our manufacturing facility. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment, with a focus on electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. **Responsibilities** + Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, plumbing, hydraulic, electrical, and automated systems. + Execute maintenance functions and make repairs in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic breakdowns with minimal guidance. + Plan, obtain cost estimates, and execute projects under the guidance of the maintenance supervisor. + Troubleshoot and perform mechanical and electrical repairs. + Provide training in areas of expertise. + Respond to work orders submitted by employees. + Assist the supervisor in ordering parts and developing a preventative maintenance program. + Participate in and execute actions from the quality improvement program. + Support the installation of new equipment and facilities improvements. + Work safely by observing safety rules, policies, and procedures, and identify unsafe conditions to the supervisor. + Maintain compliance with company quality systems and support audits. + Engage in basic design and fabrication for repairs and process improvements. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + 3-5+ years of experience in maintenance with a strong focus on electrical skills, including PLC troubleshooting. + Proficient in working with electrical systems up to 480v and understanding of Ladder Logic. + Ability to connect to networks and navigate systems. + Knowledge of RSLogix is advantageous. + Experience with electrical circuit troubleshooting, PLC programming, electronics, ARC flash, plumbing, steam and boiler systems, pneumatics, confined spaces, mobile equipment, and Mig and Tig welding. + Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, and piping diagrams. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. + Mechanical Journeyman or Technical/Vocation Certificate is preferred. + Ability to adapt to change and problem solve effectively. + Capability to work varied hours/days and with minimal supervision. + Physical ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb frequently, stand for at least 3 hours, and lift materials weighing 50 lbs. to 70 lbs. occasionally. + Effective written and verbal communication skills. **Why Work Here?** Join a company that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement, offering opportunities for professional growth and development. The role requires using basic hand and power tools, such as screwdrivers and flat head wrenches, and involves shifts from 2:00pm-10:30pm or 10:00pm-6:30am. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Sanger, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
