**Maintenance Technician III – Facilities Engineering** **Location:** Houston, TX **Pay:** $29.04 – $43.56 per hour (DOE) **Schedule Options:** + **3rd Shift:** Sat–Wed, 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM (off Thurs & Fri) + **3rd Shift:** Mon–Fri, 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM (off Sat & Sun) **About the Role** Join our Facilities Engineering team as a **Maintenance Technician III** , where you’ll play a critical role in designing, planning, constructing, and maintaining our facilities—supporting functions with precision, safety, and innovation. **Key Responsibilities** + Execute technical tasks related to building and facility design, construction, maintenance, and modifications (budgeting, scheduling, cost estimating for equipment, labor, and materials). + Coordinate space allocation, layout planning, communications infrastructure, and facilities expansion in compliance with health and safety standards. + Manage contracts and contractors; collaborate with insurance providers to implement risk reduction initiatives (e.g., fire prevention). + Support facility master planning, applying scientific/engineering principles and ensuring operations efficiency and compliance. + Adhere to **GxP regulations** , following SOPs, maintaining complete documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing necessary training. + Serve as a technical resource for the maintenance team, supporting engineers in product/process design, modification, and improvement efforts. + Perform daily inspections, testing, maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment and MEP systems; troubleshoot via BAS. + Deliver training and knowledge transfer, act as initial point of contact for your shift, and foster continuous improvement. + Conduct preventive maintenance (PMs), support shutdowns, capital projects, PIT initiatives, and document all work accurately via Maximo and related systems. + Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, production staff, contractors, and external vendors. + Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and **cGMP** requirements. + Maintain critical utilities, including deionized water, compressed air, boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems. **Qualifications** + Strong technical background in MEP systems and facilities engineering within a manufacturing or industrial setting. + Hands-on experience with building automation systems (BAS) and preventive maintenance execution. + Familiarity with documentation tools such as Maximo or equivalent CMMS. + Solid understanding of regulatory environments including **GxP** , **cGMP** , and related SOP-driven processes. + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. + Experience in contract and contractor management, master planning, and space design. + Ability to work independently on technical projects and lead continuous improvement initiatives. + Commitment to safety standards and environmental compliance.
