Maintenance Technician II
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician II** **Job Description** As a Maintenance Technician II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by performing scheduled preventative maintenance using a PM computer system and paperwork. You will take charge of understanding and executing full equipment breakdowns during necessary PM events, and determining any frequency changes in the PM structure for production equipment based on your knowledge and experience. As a leader in training, you will guide team members in plant-wide PMs and assist in planning and executing repairs or replacements of facility equipment, including compressors, boilers, and HVAC units. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled daily, weekly, quarterly, and yearly using a PM computer system and paperwork. + Execute full equipment breakdowns during necessary PM events and determine frequency changes in PM structure. + Lead training for team members on all plant-wide PMs. + Assist in repairing and replacing facility equipment like compressors, boilers, and HVAC units. + Check the electrical room for nonfunctioning components such as VFDs, switches, and breakers. + Perform day-to-day repairs on major plumbing, production lighting, doors, and associated hardware. + Respond quickly to emergency situations, including water leaks, power outages, and building alarms. + Set up, take down, and reconfigure production equipment and office furniture. + Fabricate lines, conveyors, machine equipment, and tools used in production areas. + Perform maintenance on machines due to major breakdowns, including complete breakdowns of machinery. + Assist with machine breakdown and assembly during CIP functions. + Inspect electrical units up to 480V using appropriate tools and equipment. + Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, electric pallet jacks, and electric hoists. + Conduct minor repairs on heavy equipment that pose safety concerns. + Coach maintenance team members and production operators on basic maintenance and equipment settings. + Maintain partnerships with facility members to achieve production effectiveness in all KPIs. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and reading electrical wiring diagrams. + Skilled in computer technology, electronics, and automation technology. + Experience with PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic. + Ability to troubleshoot electrical controls related to process issues. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams. **Work Environment** The role involves working with a range of tools such as band saws, torches, welders, drill presses, saws, hand, cordless, and pneumatic tools. You will operate heavy equipment like forklifts and scissor lifts, ensuring safety and functionality. The work environment is dynamic, requiring quick responses to emergencies and close collaboration with facility members to achieve production goals.
