Maintenance Technician I

SUMMARY Under limited supervision, responsible for repair, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities. Be a creative and proactive contributor, focused on continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities + Perform electrical work including installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of single-phase and three-phase systems up to 480V. + Install, test, and maintain control wiring for equipment, relays, motors, and automated systems. + Read and interpret schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and electrical blueprints. + Calculate load requirements and develop plans, material lists for electrical projects. + Install and maintain electrical panels, branch circuits, lighting systems, and conduit runs (IMC EMT Ridged PBC.). + Use electrical test equipment to identify faults, verify voltage, continuity, and safety compliance. + Perform light plumbing, painting, and carpentry work as needed. + Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections; maintain detailed records. + Support the installation and relocation of facility equipment, including HVAC, air compressors, vacuum systems, and DI water systems. + Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols. Qualifications + High school diploma or GED required. + Minimum 3 – 6 years of experience in facilities or industrial electrical maintenance. + Proficiency in: + Single-phase and three-phase electrical systems + Control wiring: relays, sensors, switches, and low-voltage circuits + EMT conduit bending, wire pulling, and termination techniques + Use of multimeters, voltage testers, and circuit tracers + Strong working knowledge of electrical tools, materials, codes, and best practices. + Ability to work safely on live circuits up to 480 volts . + Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. Licensing (Required) + Journeyman Electrician Certificate – Pinellas, Hillsborough County. + State of Florida Registered or Certified Electrical Contractor License is a plus. OSHA 10/30 and/or NFPA 70E training preferred.
