Job description Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Advises management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. Tests electrical systems and the continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system. Plans details of working procedure by determining replacement needs or new material required and develops a logical approach to correct the problem. Receives wiring diagrams, specifications and instructions from supervisor covering emergency and scheduled repairs, installation, and electrical inspection work that needs to be performed. Takes part in the emergency response teams, and in the event of any emergency, manages and deploys employees in his/her team. Predicts that all activities and purchased equipment and belongings may impact the environment, participates in activities organized to protect biological diversity, shares responsibilities to increase environmental knowledge, and carries out necessary trainings. Provides minimum consumption of currently used materials and equipment (paper, printed out, etc.). Implements necessary warnings and departmental trainings to save energy inside the facility and carries on implementing decisions taken for energy saving. Predicts effects of environment and energy efficiency on purchased equipment. Implements responsibilities to eliminate and collect waste properly, reduce environmental pollution, and minimize harmful effects to the environment. Ensures safe carrying, storing, and use of chemicals in accordance with laws, controlling and reducing chemical pollution. Carries out all responsibilities related to the quality management systems implemented at the facilities. Performs all other duties assigned by managers and hotel management not specified in the job description. Qualifications Education: At least a technical high school or vocational diploma. Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience. Foreign language: Not required. Courses and training: Not required. Computer literacy: MS Office applications. Skills: Knows, applies, and ensures application of all services and product ranges in the related field. Has knowledge of other departments and processes that it affects. Expected to have technical knowledge and work experience concerning the methods, advanced techniques, special equipment, and work processes in the related field. Additional information
