Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Maintenance Technician specializing in Cold Prep and Tire Build operations for our manufacturing facility in Clinton, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment used in cold preparation and tire building processes. You will play a critical part in ensuring our production equipment operates at peak performance while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventive care on cold prep and tire building equipment to ensure optimal functionalityDiagnose equipment malfunctions and mechanical issues using analytical problem-solving skills and appropriate diagnostic toolsExecute repairs and adjustments to machinery, components, and systems with precision and attention to detailMaintain organized maintenance logs, documentation, and records of all service activities and equipment performanceCollaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure efficient workflow in manufacturing operationsFollow established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environmentIdentify equipment wear and recommend maintenance improvements to enhance operational efficiencyOperate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and specialized tire building equipment as requiredRespond promptly to equipment failures and emergency maintenance requestsEnsure compliance with company maintenance standards and industry best practices

Qualifications

​​​​​​​WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

AAS Degree in Mechatronics or Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Maintenance or 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.Understanding of basic pneumatic system parts, and electrical low voltage control circuits.Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and analytical thinkingProficiency with hand tools, power tools, multimeter, and diagnostic equipmentSolid understanding of maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operationExcellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain detailed maintenance recordsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to work efficiently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced production environmentPhysical capability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting and working in various positions.

THE ENVIRONMENT

Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as company issued/approved steel toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.  as needed in the required areas.  The job is within a non-climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.The role involves performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing equipment issues, and completing mechanical and electrical repairs while working safely around industrial machinery.
