Transdev in Denver, Colorado is seeking a C-Level Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This entry-level technician role requires knowledge in diagnosing, repairing, and preventative maintenance of company-owned and/or leased vehicles and equipment.  This position plays a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

o Starting pay $30.81 with progression to $33.88 over 5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers by performing limited repairs with moderate supervision.  Maintenance tasks may include replacing light bulbs, fuses, lenses, wiper blades, belts, hoses, batteries, checking fluid levels, changing fluids/filters and lubricating components.  Perform mechanical repairs under supervision including inspecting/repairing brakes, suspensions, drive trains, transmissions, and other repairs.   Maintain records of all maintenance work performed on vehicles including parts and supplies used.  Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately.    Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety maintenance inspections and annual maintenance inspections at prescribed intervals of time and usage.  Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.   Evaluate completed work prior to release and seek approval when required.Assist with road calls and emergency services, as necessary.  Move vehicles safely between job and work areas.  Adhere to Transdev standards, policies and procedures.   Actively participate in required training, including monthly safety meetings.  Other duties and tasks as assigned. 

Qualifications:

A minimum of 1 year experience as a diesel engine mechanic.   ASE certifications preferred, paid ASE certification program provided.  Must be able to work flexible shiftsSubject to a federally regulated D.O.T. drug testing and physical, if applicable.  D.O.T. Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions, work alone and in remote locations. Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfacesPush and pull objects up to 100 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground levelWithstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
