Appomattox Health & Rehabilitation Center in Appomattox, Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Technician Assistant. The Maintenance Technician Assistant is responsible for the regular care and maintenance of the physical plant and grounds as directed by the Director of Maintenance so that the facility is aesthetically pleasing, properly repaired, and well maintained by following all preventative maintenance schedules and company policies and procedures. The Maintenance Technician Assistant will perform the routine duties of the Director of Maintenance in the absence of that person.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

One (1) year of Maintenance experience in a commercial setting; healthcare experience preferred.

Possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose and repair the above systems.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in-writing.

Ability to work flexible hours and to report to work within twenty (20 minutes for urgent situations.

Basic computer skills including email, electronic order entry, building engines, etc.
