Maintenance Technician

WestRock Hanover Park is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform routine and extensive preventive maintenance and repair procedures on electrical and mechanical systems involving production equipment and plant systems.

 Shift: 2nd:155-10p or 3rd: M-F 955pm-6am; some weekends

How you will impact WestRock:

Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities depending upon area of assignment including performing basic trade activities.Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment as required.Repairs electrical equipment/systems and control circuits; and replaces faulty electrical equipment as needed. Must have a familiarity with NFPA 70E standards and can apply these standards in the work situation. Installs electrical wiring and equipment; and replaces and repairs wiring as needed (including computer cable).Operates a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Performs preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts as required.May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems. Calibrates and repairs pneumatic systems and other mechanical systems on production equipment to assure optimum performance of that production process. Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or another member of the leadership team. Demonstrates strong basic computer skills to utilize the maintenance work order and inventory system. Must have good communication skills to engage other employees, management and outside vendors while troubleshooting and distributing necessary information to others.

The salary range for this position is $32.36-$40.50 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
