Maintenance Technician
Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob Description

The maintenance technician will be responsible for repairing and maintaining all equipment in the factory, as well as modifying and installing equipment as needed. This role involves working closely with the Maintenance Manager.

ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical troubleshooting, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, and gear reducers.Support production with melting, refining, and other duties as requested by production supervisors or lead operators.Generate, complete, and close work orders using a computerized maintenance management system.Perform established preventive maintenance and corrective activities, while identifying new opportunities for improvement.Conduct general facility maintenance, such as plumbing and painting.Essential Skills3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.Strong mechanical industrial experience, with an 80% focus on mechanical and 20% on electrical tasks.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Skills in electrical maintenance, fabrication, HVAC, and use of maintenance management systems.Experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.Additional Skills & Qualifications3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.Proficiency in troubleshooting issues with pumps, motors, and conveyors.Blueprint experience.Experience using a computer to log repairs and preventive maintenance.Experience in the chocolate or food industry is a plus.Electrical certification is advantageous.Experience with industrial maintenance and food/GMP compliance.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean GMP liquid chocolate factory, characterized by a hot setting due to the nature of liquid chocolate production. The dress code includes wearing a smock, hairnet, beard net, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
