Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician performs diversified maintenance duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and facility equipment. This role supports safe, efficient, and reliable operations by responding promptly to maintenance needs while complying with all workplace safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including SQF and plant safety requirements.
Essential Functions
Respond with urgency to emergency maintenance calls and work orders. Plan and execute assigned maintenance tasks efficiently. Inspect, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical and electrical equipment. Repair and maintain piping systems and assemble hoses with fittings. Perform basic fabrication and welding, including the ability to follow prints and schematics. Apply mechanical skills including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production machinery. Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose equipment issues, replace or repair parts, test equipment, and make necessary adjustments. Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment to perform job duties. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems that support production, ensuring safety, quality, output, and minimal downtime in compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and specifications. Perform additional duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications / Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess advanced mechanical and technical skills and the ability to work effectively across all areas of the plant. A strong understanding of the overall manufacturing process is required, along with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
Protective Equipment Required
Safety glasses, safety-toe shoes, arc-flash protective equipment, hearing protection, cut-resistant gloves, hairnet, and beard net when applicable.
Essential Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments. Basic computer proficiency with Windows-based software. Technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, machining, hydraulic, pneumatic, troubleshooting, and welding. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to be self-driven and lead by example. Knowledge of arc-flash safety requirements. Machine maintenance experience. Pallet jack certification and forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain.
