Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role requires working independently to repair, troubleshoot, and diagnose maintenance issues on various plastics manufacturing machines. You’ll perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical work, and may fabricate parts or equipment using welding and shop tools.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical: Replace/repack bearings, swap pumps and motors, replace rollers/gears, perform metal work, and attach machine parts.Electrical: Wire machines, check voltage and faults, troubleshoot photo eyes/lasers, and repair switches.Hydraulic/Pneumatic: Rebuild cylinders, replace seals, cylinders, and solenoids.Use a laptop to diagnose machine faults (similar to automotive code readers).Fabricate parts using welder, cutting torch, and shop tools.Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.Hands-on experience with electrical systems, hydraulics, and machine mechanics.Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex issues.Work Environment
Large manufacturing facility in Fargo’s north industrial park.Loud and dusty environment; PPE required: Steel-toed boots, safety glasses, ear plugs.Team of 20 people per shift.Schedule
Rotating shifts: Example: Work Mon/Tue, off Wed/Thu, work Fri-Sun, then flip the following week.Training: Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (day shift) before moving to assigned shift.Openings: 2 on night shift (5:45 PM–6:15 AM)1 on day shift (opposite rotation)Compensation
Base Pay: $30/hrNight Shift Bonus: +$2/hrWeekend Night Bonus: +$3/hr (Fri–Sun nights)Overtime: $52.50/hrAverage Earnings: $3,100 every 2 weeks ($80,000/year)Profit Sharing: $2,000–$5,000 annually after permanent hire.Employee Value Proposition
