Description

Well-known local Food Brand seeking well-qualified Maintenance Technicians to join our team who will be responsible for performing proactive and preventative maintenance and repairs on all production machines and equipment to keep the lines running smoothly and successfully. Candidates with experience in food processing and bottling plants are urged to apply but we're interested in connecting with all lines of experience to see if we're the right for you.

This position would offer advancement in Technician levels through coursework training and OTJ training, after gaining experience and demonstrating proficiency, would equate to higher compensation.

Responsibilities

•\tPrioritizes keeping production line running and promptly communicates to production supervisors, maintenance manager and co-workers the stage of equipment operation.

•\tPerforms preventive maintenance, set-up and repair work on equipment associated with food processing and packaging

•\tTroubleshoots and repairs Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyors, Pumps, Gear boxes, Glycol System, Motors and Mechanical linkage.

•\tCorrects any abnormalities found and reports potential downtime situations to the maintenance manager.

•\tMaintains records and logs of work orders and work order request as needed.

•\tComplies with all Departmental policies and procedures, and prepares any reports required for control, audit or reporting purposes.

Requirements

•\tExperience with food processing and packaging equipment.

•\tPneumatic and Mechanical linkage repair experience.

•\tThorough knowledge of standard hand and power tools and equipment used in plant maintenance and repair activities.

•\tGood mechanical troubleshooting skills.

•\tGood electrical troubleshooting skills.

•\tSome fabrication skills include using drill press, mill and lath machine.

•\tAbility to prioritize workload for maximum plant efficiency and minimum downtime.

•\tHelpful, “can do” demeanor.

•\tSafety mindset.

•\tWorks well independently and with others.

•\tGood communication skills.

•\tOrganized with attention to detail.

•\tAbility to work in a fast paced and stressful environment.

•\tBasic shop math associated with maintenance activities.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
