Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical (including PLC), and hydraulic systems, effectively addressing both unexpected and planned downtimes. Your proactive approach will help maintain equipment robustness, maximize uptime, and ensure a safe and secure work environment.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems to repair machine equipment during downtimes.Complete a PM schedule to ensure machine robustness and maximize uptime.Maintain equipment and tools to avoid production interruptions and minimize downtime.Analyze machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical problems proactively.Ensure availability of replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment.Maintain maintenance-related records.Coordinate with outside contractors for equipment repairs and effective upgrades.Provide input and ensure completion of continuous improvement projects.Perform facilities maintenance tasks.Maintain clear written documentation.Create and maintain a safe and secure work environment.Achieve set goals and objectives each year.Remain flexible and adjust to changing demands and requests.

Essential Skills

Strong troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Experience with PLC troubleshootingProficient in Microsoft Office and Preventative Maintenance software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Courses in maintenance-related disciplines; electrical certification or industrial electronics education preferred.Experience with total productive maintenance systems (TPM) preferred.Machining experience preferred.Minimum 5 years’ experience in a maintenance position Familiarity with the Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations preferred.Strong time management, sense of urgency, and organizational skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.50 - $31.00/hr.
