Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of bakery machinery. Your duties will include reviewing work orders, performing preventative maintenance on baking ovens and packing machines, inspecting and testing machinery components such as bearings, gears, and shafts. You will also install and repair electrical apparatuses, gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Additionally, you will set up and operate lathes, grinders, drills, and perform occasional metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

Review work orders at the start of each shift.Perform preventative maintenance on baking ovens and packing machines.Inspect and test machinery components including bearings, gears, and shafts.Install and repair electrical apparatuses, gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.Set up and operate lathes, grinders, and drills.Perform occasional fabrication to cut or join metal parts.

Essential Skills

At least 1 year of experience setting up, repairing, and troubleshooting machinery in a manufacturing or production setting.1 year of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production setting.6+ months of electrical experience.6+ months of welding and fabricating experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Electrical experience preferred.Ability to learn and take direction effectively.

Work Environment

Work in a production environment committed to food safety, regulated by an SQF System. The company is family-owned and operated, fostering an inclusive culture with a focus on teamwork. Work shifts include Day Shift from 4:45 AM to 5 PM and Night Shift from 4:45 PM to 5 AM, following a 12-hour shift pattern.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LA VISTA, Nebraska.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.00/hr.
