Maintenance Technician in Franklin, TN on a 1st Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 1st shift. This role involves performing general maintenance and repairs on manufacturing and facility equipment with precision and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems with production and warehouse equipment.Respond to maintenance request tickets based on priority level.Work with electrical systems from power and controls aspects (480V to 24V).Troubleshoot CNC Machines and associated robots using PLCs, servomotors, drive controls, and proximity sensors.Mechanically repair precision equipment including spindle heads, ball screws, bearings, linear rails, and shoes.Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems involving pumps, valves, cylinders, slides, and clamping mechanisms.Conduct preventive maintenance including lubrication checks and monitoring coolant/water tank levels.Maintain inventory control for spare parts.Perform minor facility repairs and assist with equipment relocation.Collaborate with other departments and contractors for facility and manufacturing needs.Travel to Germany for equipment training.Tear down and refurbish CNC Grinding Machines, replacing and adjusting fine axis motion components.Minimize costs by identifying reusable versus replaceable parts.Conduct facility walkthroughs to verify equipment condition.Use rigging techniques to relocate manufacturing machines.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in electrical, troubleshooting, and maintenance technician work.Strong mechanical skills, particularly in industrial settings.Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and repair.Ability to conduct preventive maintenance and service tasks.Competence in reading schematics and troubleshooting PLC and electrical systems.Experience with motors, maintenance repair, and blueprint analysis.Quality assurance skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency with complex and basic tools.Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness.Adaptable to change and pressure.Detail-oriented and precise.Ability to read and analyze technical procedures and schematics.Cross-craft skills with a strong electrical background.Ability to troubleshoot live electrical systems (480V to 24V).5 years’ experience with formal technical training or Journeyman’s card; OR6 years’ experience in maintenance field; OREquivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

Work in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility that is climate-controlled and maintains a clean room environment year-round. The role requires safety shoes or steel toes, and PPE is provided. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule from 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
