Description

Responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned/needed.

Shift is - 5p-5a – 4 12 hour shifts Monday through Thursday some Fridays will be needed – Right now they are working every other Saturday on a rotation – with hiring an additional person, they are hoping to get rid of Saturdays!

There is a $1 differential for hours worked between 5pm and 5am

Job Responsibilities

•\tInstall, adjust, and repair production equipment, heavy trucks, and special purpose machines as assigned

•\tOperate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned

•\tWeld and use cutting torch as required

•\tPerform general repairs to plant structures

•\tTest and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs, and discuss with fellow mechanics for approval and repair as needed

•\tReplace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards as needed

•\tInstall equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning

•\tDismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools

•\tLubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation

•\tHigh school diploma/equivalent, or comparable in training, education, or experience

•\tTechnical or vocational school certification or equivalent in training or experience

•\tAbility to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step by step instructions

•\tMechanical aptitude and ability are essential

•\tSkilled in the use of hand and power tools

•\tKnowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity, carpentry, or related field preferred

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
