Maintenance Technician
Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob Description

The Maintenance Technician will work within the powertrain team to achieve key results aligned with company goals. The ideal candidate must possess a strong knowledge of troubleshooting preventive maintenance (PM) and electrical systems. They will develop strategies to meet team objectives and report to various supervisors and managers throughout the production organization. A working knowledge of standard automotive OEM process equipment and related systems is essential, along with problem-solving abilities and proactive communication in daily activities.

ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance of process equipment in various shops depending on the department.Conduct preventive maintenance on all types of production equipment.Accurately document all preventive maintenance activities performed.Collaborate with maintenance planner to learn and use the CMMS system.Troubleshoot and repair complex problems on production equipment.Repair or replace defective parts.Support installation of new equipment.Fabricate parts for plant and production equipment.Enforce and follow all safety rules and regulations.Perform other responsibilities as needed.
Essential SkillsStrong electrical, troubleshooting, and mechanical skills.Experience as a maintenance technician.Proficiency with multimeters and diagnostic tools.Ability to perform TIG, stick, and MIG welding.Knowledge of pneumatics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting of shafts, motors, chains, conveyor systems, and PLC systems.Ability to troubleshoot robots and automated equipment.Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, including operation of cylinders and valves.
Additional Skills & QualificationsUnderstanding of electrical control systems.Mechanical knowledge and detailed troubleshooting abilities of robots and other automation equipment.Familiarity with shafts, motors, chains, and various conveyor-related equipment.Understanding of PLC logic controls, such as Rockwell and Siemens.Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.Ability to operate mobile equipment including forklifts and other powered industrial trucks.Valid US driver's license and a clean driving record.High School Diploma or GED required.
Work Environment

The work schedule is on Crew A (days), Sunday to Wednesday from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break. The role requires frequent standing, stooping, walking, and lifting of heavy objects up to 50 pounds. The workweek consists of 40-48 hours, with shifts typically lasting 12 hours. The company operates seven days a week building cars, but employees work four days per week. The environment is dynamic, collaborative, and family-oriented, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of sustainable automotive innovation. This role offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for conversion based on performance.

This is a Contract position based out of Casa Grande, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
