Maintenance Technician
Shift 6pm to 6am
About the Role: Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, with assistance of the Maintenance Planner and/or the Shift Supervisor, efficiently maintain facility equipment, buildings and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:
•Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems and malfunctions.
•Repair, replace or rebuild process equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, valves and motors
•The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance.
•Independently performs Preventive maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance planner per Kerry and manufacturer specifications.
•Log all work performed on Preventive maintenance work orders, repairs work orders, and new equipment installations along with hours worked on each work order in the CMMS program per Kerry and manufacturer specifications.
•Follow and comply with all Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices rules and regulations.
•Serves on Plant Safety Committee and attendance at company sponsored Safety Training programs.
•Works a 12 hour shift schedule.
Key responsibilities
Experience
•Working knowledge of Electrical 3 phase systems, PLCs, Controls
•Extensive experience repairing and/or replacing pumps, motors, filters, pipes.
•Welding & cutting and grinding along with the operations of a wide range of powered shop tools.
•Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills are required.
On call:
•Must be available for emergency call-in to perform equipment and system repairs on a rotating basis per established procedures to ensure equal distribution of call-in responsibilities.
Qualifications and skills
The typical hiring range for this role is $28 to $36 per hour and is based on several factors including but not limited to education work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
