Maintenance Technician

BAE Systems maybe the answer to that search.BAE Systems Maritime Solutions Jacksonville Site is seeking candidates for maintenance technicians for its Waterfront Operations department. Selected candidates will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties installing, troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining Waterfront Operations department equipment including self-propelled motorized transports (SPMTs), diesel engines, hoists, gears, pumps, hydraulic systems and controls, pneumatic systems, controls and instrumentation, wire ropes, and other mechanical systems. Candidates must maintain the highest quality standards of workmanship, to complete assigned work safely and efficiently per BAE Company Procedures and Policy, and perform other duties as assigned. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Minimum of one years of industrial maintenance experience. + Must be able to read technical manuals and drawings and apply them to their work. + Must have a high school diploma or GED; Highly motivated and eager to learn. + Must have the ability to use and possess experience using a variety of hand tools, power hand tools, and precision measurement tools. + Must be willing to work varying shifts and weekends. + Must be highly motivated and able to work independently with only general supervision. + Must be able to obtain and maintain Defense Biometric Identification Systems "DBIDS" access card. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Diesel, Automotive, and/or Marine Mechanical Experience. + Knowledge of running adjustments, identification and replacement of defective parts, and inspecting used parts for wear. + Knowledge of machinery alignments and overhauling equipment. + Experience using alignment tools plus. + Experience rebuilding machinery, centrifugal pumps, and various manufacturing/process equipment. + Knowledge of servo systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems. + Ability to analyze alarms and identify problems and causes, and propose/implement remedies + Experience performing maintenance on SPMTs. + Solid interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment; Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is necessary. + Experience in high tempo manufacturing or shipyard environment. + Strong technical problem-solving skills in various disciplines. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $44720 - $78520 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
