Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient startup, adjustment, and maintenance of equipment. Your role involves monitoring equipment performance to maximize efficiency, inspecting units, and conducting various tests to ensure quality standards are met. This position requires a proactive approach to equipment maintenance, including lubrication, preventive measures, and documentation of maintenance procedures.

ResponsibilitiesStartup equipment and perform line changeovers as needed to maintain optimal operation.Monitor equipment and make necessary adjustments to ensure maximum efficiency.Inspect units visually and conduct tests to check weld quality and other specifications.Adjust score dies and repair riveters when metal changes occur.Conduct die changes and make necessary adjustments in the press room.Perform preventive maintenance in the slitting department.Lubricate and maintain equipment, including checking oil levels in gear boxes.Assist in training line operators on welders and seamers.Ensure a safe and clean work environment in the facility.Document preventive maintenance procedures in the log book.Adhere to personnel and product safety standards, including SQF and GMP requirements.Handle, store, and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with State and Federal laws.Essential SkillsProficiency in electrical systems, troubleshooting, pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyor maintenance.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Experience with die change and equipment changeovers.Additional Skills & QualificationsExcellent communication skills to interact positively with co-workers.Willingness to work overtime as a condition of employment.One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or equivalent experience.Completion of journeyman training or similar certification.Certification in CPR, basic first aid, and Lockout/Tagout requirements.Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and occasional electrical shock risk. The noise level is typically loud, requiring appropriate safety measures. The position offers two shifts: 1st Shift from 4am - 2pm and 2nd Shift from 2pm - 12am.

The pay range for this position is $48000.00 - $64480.00/yr.
