Volt is immediately hiring for a Maintenance Technician in Renton, WA.

 

As a Maintenance Technician you will:

 

Perform routine preventative maintenance on production machinery (extruders, winders, bag lines, etc.) to ensure optimal performance and reduce equipment failures Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on manufacturing equipment in a timely manner Respond to emergency repair requests and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime Collaborate with production staff to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of machinery Maintain and repair facility systems (e.g., lighting, etc.) to ensure a safe and efficient working environment Document maintenance activities, repairs, and completed work orders in the maintenance management system Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards during all maintenance activities

 

This is a full time opportunity.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is a plus 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance role, preferably in packaging or similar production environments Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment used in production Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints Good problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors Ability to work independently and take initiative to resolve maintenance issues Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and overtime as needed Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment

 

 

Pay Rate: $30.00-38.00/hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
