Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting seating equipment in a just-in-time (JIT) facility. The role involves maintaining electrical components to ensure uninterrupted production, reading schematics, troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480V, working with three-phase motors, tester equipment, and mini boilers. Technicians will be assigned to specific zones on the plant floor to work alongside seat assemblers to optimize equipment efficiency and assist in facility maintenance. **Responsibilities** + Maintain and troubleshoot seating equipment to ensure continuous production. + Read and interpret schematics for accurate troubleshooting. + Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V and work with three-phase motors. + Collaborate with seat assemblers to enhance equipment efficiency. + Assist in facility maintenance around the building. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of automotive maintenance experience. + 3+ years of experience in a JIT facility. + Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, including rebuilding wires/cables and working with electrical circuits. + Strong mechanical ability, especially with conveyors, sensors, and motor swaps. + Experience with pneumatics. + Ability to read schematic prints. + Commitment to safety, understanding and applying lockout/tagout procedures. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with Microsoft Office. + Hydraulics troubleshooting expertise. + Welding and fabrication skills. + Possession of a Journeyman's Card. + PLC troubleshooting experience. + Understanding of preventive maintenance processes and continuous improvement strategies for plant machinery. **Why Work Here?** Join a large production facility with growth and advancement opportunities. Technicians work on a 2-shift model, with shifts from 5am to 5pm or 5pm to 5am, six days a week. The goal is to transition to a 3-shift model by summer. Candidates will initially train on the first shift for two weeks. The facility encourages teamwork and prioritizes safety, with a strong emphasis on maintaining a harmonious and efficient workplace. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
