Maintenance Technician
**Fertilizer Production & Maintenance Technician (Evening Shift)** Location: Fremont Shift:2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Employment Type: Full-Time Contract-to-hire **Position Overview** We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fertilizer Production & Maintenance Technician to join our team. This hybrid role combines hands-on production work with electrical troubleshooting and maintenance responsibilities. You will operate and maintain chemical reactors and related equipment while also addressing electrical issues involving motors, breakers, and switches. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical background in chemical or mechanical systems and basic electrical experience. **🔧Key Responsibilities** + Operate and monitor fertilizer production reactors and equipment (pumps, tanks, blenders, absorbers). + Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of production machinery. + Troubleshoot and resolve issues with pump motors, blower motors, breakers, and switches. + Use electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters) to check voltage, continuity, and diagnose faults. + Replace or repair electrical components as needed (breakers, switches, wiring). + Collaborate with engineers to improve production efficiency and resolve technical issues. + Conduct quality control tests to ensure fertilizer meets safety and performance standards. + Maintain accurate records of production data, maintenance activities, and test results. + Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety drills and training. + Support R&D efforts for new fertilizer formulations or process improvements. **⚙️Qualifications** + Hands-on experience in a production or manufacturing environment. + Basic electrical knowledge and experience using test equipment (multimeter, continuity tester). + Familiarity with motors, breakers, switches, and standard electrician’s tools. + Ability to wear a respirator and operate forklifts or scissor lifts. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Ability to interpret technical data and follow standard operating procedures. + Comfortable working independently during evening shifts. **🧰Preferred Skills** + Experience in fertilizer, chemical, or industrial production. + Mechanical installation skills (hoses, tubing, PVC piping). + Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in chemical operations. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
