Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for adhering to safety and food safety regulations, enhancing the Preventative Maintenance program to reduce downtime, and troubleshooting and repairing various systems including PLCs, electrical, and mechanical systems. You will collaborate with multiple departments, organize the maintenance shop using 5S methodology, and learn the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain and conduct preventative maintenance on baking equipment and conveyor systems.Troubleshoot and repair mixing equipment, extruders, servos, VFDs, sensors, feed control systems, refrigeration, proofer, conveyors, boilers, silos, and oven equipment.Build, replace, rotate, inspect, and change parts of industrial machines.Connect power to machines, install motors, and rewire motors using blueprints and schematics.Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, and forklifts.Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum materials.Run conduit and electrical wiring to new industrial machines.Fabricate parts using drill press and cutting tools.Essential SkillsElectrical troubleshooting and industrial maintenance.Experience troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance on automated equipment.Experience with assembly equipment and building industrial equipment.Experience rebuilding 3-phase motors and welding.Ability to work with schematics and blueprints.Knowledge in PLC control, maintenance repair, conveyor systems, and motors.Installation and electrical maintenance skills.Proficiency with hand tools, hydraulics, and pneumatics.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to rebuild and rewire 3-phase motors.Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machines.PLC troubleshooting and automation experience.Installation of conduit and electrical wiring.Food/beverage industry is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment consists of 12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, 3-4 days a week, typically including Fridays. The workplace operates under a union environment and is characterized by a hot and fast-paced atmosphere, with the inside temperature typically 10-20 degrees warmer than outside due to industrial ovens used for baking.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $61588.80 - $68640.00/yr.
