**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for general facilities maintenance and repairs of a commercial property. This role involves light electrical work, plumbing, painting touch-ups, carpet replacement, and miscellaneous facilities maintenance duties. The technician will also be responsible for turning over office units and performing general cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping during downtime. Complex work will be outsourced to third-party electrical, HVAC, or plumbing services. **Responsibilities** + Perform light electrical work including replacing light bulbs, ballasts, switches, and outlets. + Conduct light plumbing tasks such as unclogging drains and toilets, and replacing fixtures. + Carry out basic painting touch-ups. + Replace carpets as needed. + Handle miscellaneous facilities maintenance duties. + Turn over office units. + Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping during downtime. **Essential Skills** + Previous experience in maintenance for residential or commercial buildings. + Proficiency in facilities maintenance. + Ability to document maintenance activities. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Must possess own tools. **Work Environment** The work environment is located at 3132 MLK Jr. Way, Berkeley. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, totaling 40 hours per week with a 30-minute lunch break.
